Astoria, December 17, 2004. The Theater Group of the Greek Cultural Center in collaboration with the Chian Federation of America, present under the auspices of the Consulate General of the Republic of Cyprus, a play by N. Tsiforos ; P. Vasiliadis,An Italian Girl in Athens.
Given the overwhelming success and attendance by the public alongside glowing critiques, the hilarious comedy of “An Italian Girl in Athens” which was presented at the Greek Cultural Center will be extended for just one show.
After popular demand and to accommodate those who did not have the chance to see it one additional presentation will take place at the Cultural Center of the Chian Federation on Sunday, February 20th, 2005 at 7:00 pm. This opportunity should not be missed.
This side-splitting comedy, presented in three acts, examines Greek Society confronting the issues of virtuosity and malice living the high life , and its obsession for everything foreign. The original production of this play broke box office records in Greece during the 1960
The production is directed by Martha Tompoulidou and appearing in alphabetical order are Yannis Amouris, Larisa Antipa, Mary Varvatakou, Konstantinos Deligiannis, John Kallianiotis, Angelos Niakas, Adia Olympia, Diodoros Pagoudis, Anastasios Samaras, Elsa Tsartsidou, Alexia Charalambidou.
The performance takes place at the Cultural Center of the Chian Federation located at 44-01 Broadway in Astoria on Sunday, February 27th, 2005 at 7:00 pm.
