Seems the US and Canada are leading the way with a wide selection of convenient websites that collaboratively advertise all the latest and best Greek events in neighbouring localities >> like the "one stop guide to the pulse of the Greek community [and] events" @ http://www.greekcalendar.com/
Unfortunately, nothing quite as organised or detailed exists here in Australia, yet ('its in the mail', I'm sure) > locating Greek events is a bit of a maze - they're all over the place on the Internet (and are easily missed). And being winter over here - there's really not that much happening at the moment, 'down under' - - but be assured that the Greek-Australian events posts will liven up toward the end of the year (as 'we' southerners approach summer).
Although there are many privately-organised Greek functions and events that take place regularly in Australia (like the 'Greek Legal & Medical Conference' being held in Melbourne on the 26th of August >> http://www.greekconference.com.au/2006/masterclass06.htm ) I am more focused or keen to promote the larger, more public, more entertaining events > which are certainly lacking here (in my opinion). C'mon Aussies - hype up the Multicultural festivals and events - need more of 'em!!!!!
