First of all, I have never ever called the Turks brothers! There is nothing even remotely "relative" about them. I call the Italians brothers, as we come from the same stock - "una fatsa, una ratsa". I do not hate the Turks, I just do not trust them. Remember, they have an ongoing civil war - they are gasing Kurds as we speak! You think Sadam Hussein is bad, take a look at the people living in the eastern-most border of Turkey. They have repeatedly been sanctioned by the United Nations for civil rights violations. I will only call someone a "brother" if they BEHAVE LIKE ONE!!!!!
