I definitely I agree with you that the Olympic Association and or, the Greek Governor should recognize this runner's effort and under that bizarre circumstance to issue a 2nd gold medal. Should Greece issued him a Gold, then our Olympic Spirit and Flame would shine and embrace every soul in the world. I even wrote to the Greek Governor to make such a move, but I guess the immaturity in reaching such a decision reflects of the way we treat world athletes. This event had an emotional affect on me, cause as a marathon runner myself (I have just completed my 100th marathon) I understand what this individual went through. Though, I take my hat off to him of the way he had contacted himself at the finish of his run.
