I need opinions: I am writing a historical autobiographical manuscript on Alexander the Great (yes, exhaustive research is implemented)and I am debating whether to transliterate spellings of Latin names into Greek (I'd prefer to transliterate). Is this advisable and beneficial (i.e. Craterus to Krateros, Ptolemy to Ptolemaios, Bodyguard to somatophilax, July to Loos/Hekatombaion). I would create a Glossary for the reader's reference. Thanks! |
