The Megalonisos Cretan Youth Chapter of Boston is sponsoring the premiere of the documentary "The 11th Day", a film detailing the resistance of the Cretan people during the Nazi invasion and capture of the island of Crete during World War II. The film includes details of the invasion, the continued resistance by the Cretans following the ten day battle, the persecutions and executions carried out by the Nazis, and the eventual overthrow of the Nazi regime rule, including the capture of the German general. The film also includes commentary by British officers and Cretan Adartes who survived the battle and were interviewed during the making of this film.Boston is one stop on the international tour of this film and I hope you can join us.
