Hey Today Live on NBC fans,
2 of the most popular TV- morning host/anchors
from NBC Katie Courie&Matt Lauwer are in Athens Greece (Katie is there already,Matt we'll be there on Thursday) covering the Olympics, in fact everyday NBC airs specials on the Olympics,they are doing a good job and the NBC commercials are the best around.
NBC is doing a great job I'm enjoying the coverage.

Trust me i can't stand any socialist commentaries media has turned so liberal left is making me sick.
The original post was posted before the opening coverage ceremonies, and i didn't like the way they covered that at all, I couldn't believe Bob Costas is from Greek origin and was saying all these political stuff about Greece and Turkey it was really stupid of him he Turkey entered the stadium and said
'Let's see what the reaction we'll be for them' he did the same thing when the U. S marched - i was relived the response was positive for all countries even though an MSNBC journalist reported there were some people who stood up and gave the athletes thumps down but that it didn't make the air-I didn't see anything like that and all our local reporters from NBC who were there didn't mention anything like that they said there even even U.S.A chants.
Katie did a bad job with Costas but her daily TODAY show from Athens every morning with Matt is really good and everyday they preview Greek food and places today they had a special on Santorini.
As for the anon with the caps who can't control himself - did you just crawl out of a cave or something?
The Olympics are for everyone Greeks, Americans, etc.
PS I think this topic may belong in the Olympic forum.

Katie Couric and Bob Costas did a terrible job hosting the opening ceremonies in Athens. Considering Bob was hosting the opening ceremonies with 4 billion people watching you think he could learn to say the olympians names correctly. Bob is a disgrace to Greece and all its people. I find it nothing less than appauling that Bob Costas, a Greek himself, would say such ignorant things about Greece. Katie Couric did just as if not worse a job than Bob. To talk about Greece in such an insulting manor on their own land, URRG! I dont know if Katie was let in on the secret, but the Olympics started out in Greece. As for another thing, Venus and Serena Williams stated that they did not attend the Athens 2004 Olympics because Greece is a third world war country. Greece spent 5 times more money on secruity than Sydney. There are many articles on the web stating the wonderful job Greece did with security and how there is simply nothing more Greece could do to prevent violence. The opening ceremonies for the 28th Olympiad were more than beautiful and if anyone can't see that then they are as narrow-minded as can be.

I'm shocked that Venus & Serena said that,
Venus is in Athens competing Serena had
to pull out because of a knee injury.
Just before it was announced Serena wouldn't
play at the Olympics
both sisters were at the Today show and Katie asked
both sisters how they were feeling about going
to Athens? and i remember Serena saying "
looking forward to it , there is so much history there"
and both sisters were quoted saying one their own sister who
was shot dead in LA last year experienced violence
right here on their own soil so they weren't concern
about security so much.
It's kinda funny
they would say that about Greece
because they grew up in one
of the most poorest communities in LA
and basically the black community has funded
and helped them career wise until they started
making money on their own.
I'm surprised they would say that.
Well from now on it's not going to be
just Greece spending so much money
for security for the Olympics and
other similar events,
so for those who are complaining
they better get used to it,
we are living in a different world
and although yes anything is possible
i thought some of Katie's and Bob's comments
even Tom Brokaw who is reporting news
from Athens every evening always mention
security and how everything so far
is going great-i really think they thought something
may happen, the commentary at the opening ceremonies
was silly and stupid even my american friends say so
Here's another Katie bulb moment for you
this morning on the Today show via satelite from Athens to Olympia she was asking one of her co anchors if Olympia still looks the same like it did so many thousand years ago? even the reporter rolled his eyes even if he laughed it off LOL he was like:How would I know Katie? I'm old but not that old
