Americas Cup is an event that brings tourism, glory and Money of course to the countries where it is organised. We are a blessed country surrounded by the most beautiful sea, nautical culture and always succeed to any challenge we take! Why not GREECE then? Since we are in the list, let us vote for our country to show that we have the guts to fight for everything!

Very good topic. I do not know how many really know in Greece about this event but if they do not maybe they should start show some interest.
Has anybody read about what Michael Bonefous said (if you do not know him, he is the chief of ACM that organises the 32nd AC in Valencia)? This is his quote posted on www.thedailysail.com :
"If ACM decide to stick with their 'deep infrastructure changes model' then we suspect Valencia will not be in the running as the deep infrastructure changes have already been made here. But if ACM did decide to change to this 'communication model', with more emphasis on the Acts, then Valencia could well be in the running, but then this model also opens the Cup to being hosted in many other potential ports. The outcome will depend upon negotiations with the cities in question - aside from Valencia, Athens is believed to be one of several potential locations already visited by ACM."

There was also a move from Britain to the 33rd AC. I do not see it in the list of the poll though. As an immigrant in the UK i vote for Athens of course!!!

Yes. I found this poll while browsing and thought why not share it with more people? Do you remember the other poll with the miracles of the World? Well, we all voted then for that purpose. Why not try here also. Especially now that we are talking about such a special event!

Yeah, i like your comment about the poll iro to the World Miracles. We need great events with international attention. We need miracles in our country. After the Olympics 2004 it is good to expect something Big!

Hi everybody. I found the topic and registered because it is really interesting. I am Greek but live in Spain for a while on business and i know a few things about AC. Life in Valencia is Super due to the event. A lot of tourists and great attention internationally. Just read the article : http://www.gizmag.com/go/7306/ and you will understand what the impact is due to such an organisation.
Seaside, i hope everybody here votes for Athens in the site you published.

Yesterday Athens was last with 3% and today it is almost 13% and has the 2nd place!!!
