Join the local Greek Community of Townsville celebrate at the Annual Greek Festival at Riverway, Thuringowa. Approximately 20 000 - 30 000 people are expected to attend the two day festival.
This year Aegean Groove will fill Riverway with the sounds of Greece. The big line-up of Greek Entertainment includes traditional Greek music and dancing, authentic Greek food, imported Greek beer and wine and a fashion parade of traditional Greek costumes. Watch the Hellenic Dancers of Townsville bring the culture alive with dances from all parts of Greece and be sure to participate in some of the Olympic Sports on Sunday! Support the teams that are competing in the famous Grape Stomping Championships. Come, join in and share the Greek culture and hospitality!

GREECE IS THE WORD
Above: Earlier this year, Townsville's Greek community were very excited about the prospect of 630 ABC North Queensland defending their highly prized crown in the famous Grape Stomping Championships in this year's Greek Fest @ Townsville. The team at 630 ABC North Queensland are already in training and preparing themselves for the competition.
Festival Co-ordinator Bill Malandris says he's been impressed by the public access to Riverway, and says it should be easy for families to make their way to the two-day event, which will take place on the 14th and 15th of October.
