TESTIMONIAL DINNER HONORING GRAND PRESIDENT OF THE DAUGHTERS OF PENELOPE

Edison, New Jersey: The Daughters of Penelope honored Grand President
Evellyn Tsiadis for her outstanding achievements, and distinguished service
with a Testimonial Dinner on Saturday, May 24, 2003.

The event, hosted by Tethys Chapter #229 was a time to reflect upon the
Grand President's year long term. Held at the beautiful Pines Manor the two
hundred and seventy five guests joyfully celebrated together this splendid
occasion.

As the culmination of her term approaches, the bestowment of well wishes and
congratulatory expressions resonated throughout the evening. George
Mavrookas, nephew of the Grand President said, "My Thia has a contagious
positive energy." Evident by the many words used to describe GP Tsiadis,
caring, innovating, dynamic, vivacious, dedicated, enthusiastic and loyal.
"Your charisma and passion for the Daughters of Penelope has made for a
glorious success," said Nick Alexander, Order of AHEPA Supreme Secretary.
Past Grand President Cathy Ferguson said, "Your discipline, hard work,
commitment and kindness has left an impression, focused toward the beauty of
life and living."

Keynote speaker, Mary Katsafanas stated "A leader, who understands that both
the mission and the vision of an organization, must be understood by the
members. Working on a grass roots level, everyone working together, the
goals of the organization can be accomplished successfully. You met our
expectations but you also exceeded them. At times, you had to make choices
that were difficult but you made them to benefit the Daughters of Penelope
and AHEPA Family, guided by your skills of leadership, your inspiration of
loyalty, openness and honesty. An effective leader, believing in your motto
that our opportunities are endless by enlisting new ideas and programs,
setting a good example for the AHEPA family to follow."

Grand President Tsiadis traveled extensively throughout the United States
and Canada this past year. "With the passage of time, I understand the
observation that the journey is as important as the destination. I have
been on a wonderful and fulfilling journey as the Grand President, and I owe
you all my thanks for the privilege to have served in that office," said GP
Tsiadis.

"We have been highly visible and active this year, spreading our message and
capitalizing on our endless opportunities. Together, we have been united to
continue to work for the good of the Daughters of Penelope," stated GP
Tsiadis. "Now that my term has nearly ended, I fully understand the wisdom
of the observation that one must wait until the evening to see how splendid
the day has been. All of you have my sincere thanks and appreciation for
making this past year, and especially this evening a time that I shall
always cherish."

The entire evening was a befitting tribute for a woman who has distinguished
herself with exuberance and passion for the Daughters of Penelope and who
has led by example, through her commitment, dedication and diligence to
ensure the continuance of the organization.
