Σικάγο, 22 Αυγούστου 2005--Ο Πρόεδρος του Συμβουλίου Απόδημου Ελληνισμού κ. Ανδρέας ¶. ¶θενς απέστειλε την ακόλουθη συγχαρητήρια επιστολή στο νέο προκαθήμενο του Πατριαρχείου Ιεροσολύμων κ.κ. Θεόφιλο, ο οποίος εξελέγη ομόφωνα από την Ιερά Σύνοδο του Πατριαρχείου στις 22 Αυγούστου:

Εκ μέρους του Προεδρείου του Συμβουλίου Απόδημου Ελληνισμού και εμού προσωπικά δεχτείτε τα εγκάρδια συγχαρητήρια μας για την εκλογή σας στο θρόνο Πατριαρχείου Ιεροσολύμων.
Μαζί με τις ευχές μας για υγεία και δύναμη στο δύσκολο έργο που αναλαμβάνετε, θα θέλαμε να σας διαβεβαιώσουμε ότι θα σταθούμε αρωγοί σε κάθε σας προσπάθεια για την εδραίωση του ιστορικού ρόλου του Πατριαρχείου Ιεροσολύμων.
