The word Antipodes is derived from Greek and basically refers to > two places or nations (and the people who live there) that are situated diametrically opposite one another on the earth's surface.





The Greek Orthodox Community of Melbourne & Victoria (GOCMV) was established in 1897 and is acknowledged as the oldest Greek organisation and one of the oldest ethnic community's in Australia.

The Hellenic Club Harmony Parade
The Festival is now more exciting with the introduction of the Hellenic Club's Harmony Parade. The parade offers another opportunity for Canberrans to participate in celebrating community life by parading along with the marching bands which include: Marching Koalas, Aussie All Stars, Golden Kangaroos, Canberra City Pipes and Drums. Shu-te Highschool Parade Troupe from Kaohusiung Taiwan. Another overseas group is Storici Sbadieratori della Contrade di Corri. The Parade will take place along London Circuit -East Row - Bundah Street-Akuna and back on London Circuit. An event for the whole family.

Venue: Civic from London Circuit to Akuna Street
