GREEKSTAR is proudly presenting a National Competition with total of 65 Entrants from across the States and Territories of Australia, namely: Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia, Queensland, Northern Territory and Western Australia.
GREEKSTAR is currently in its Semi-Final's Stage, and will be hosted in Sydney (NSW) on Friday 20th January and in Melbourne (Victoria) on Wednesday 25th January, 2006.
The current Organisers of the Australian Greek Star have been heavily involved in the Greek and Australian music industry for the past 20 years. In fact, over the years they have consistently managed to entertain Australians with a wide variety of Greek performers on Tour.
GREEKSTAR'S overall objective is to continually promote and to discover New Musical Talent from the various nations it now hosts.

NEWSLETTER FEBRUARY I
<< It's almost over!!!! The Semifinal Live performances in Sydney are over. The last performance was on the 20th of January at XES Bar in Brighton. All the contestants had a lot of fun and the audience equally enjoyed the show. We have another two shows left one in Melbourne and one in Adelaide until we reach the end of our semifinal stage for GreekStar 2006.
The next show in Melbourne is on the 17th of February at Victoria House.
Tickets start at $25 free alcoholic drink included or $55 with included meal. You can also purchase tickets online at www.greekstar.com.au/store

It is going to be a fantastic night as our Greek Stars give their all for their last performance for this stage in the competition.
As the summer ends so will the voting lines, which close on the 28th of February. Our contestants will then have to wait for a couple of weeks until the results are in and finalized. They will then receive a phone call from Natasa our host, letting them know whether or not they made it through to the Final Top 18. Remember you have the power to decide who the GreekStar of 2006 will be. Even one SMS might make the difference between your favourite contestant advancing onto the next stage or not. So vote to keep your favourite contestant in the contest.

GreekStar Final 1 - Sydney
GreekStar is now approaching the final stages of its competition, and the countdown to find the two ultimate singers (1 male and 1 female) is currently underway!
The 19 remaining finalists will soon be faced with yet another gruelling process of eliminations via a series of 7 Live shows (to be conducted at various venues).
The first live show (referred to as Final 1) will be held at the Canterbury/Hurlstone Park RSL Club in Sydney on Saturday, May 6th, 2006.
The public will be invited to cast their votes for their favourite contestant after each live show (either at the venue directly or via sms). After 'Final 1' the 19 finalists will be reduced to 16. Every show thereafter will see a further two contestants eliminated until the 2 GreekStar Winners are officially announced.
