CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST REGARDING A FACULTY OPENING IN THE ELECTRONIC AND COMPUTER ARCHITECTURE DIVISION OF THE ELECTRONIC AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT OF THE TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF CRETE
The Electronics and Computer Architecture Division of the Electronic and Computer Engineering Department of the Technical University of Crete (in
Chania) solicits interest in view of upcoming possible tenure-track faculty openings. The expected openings are preferably at the Assistant Professor level. The areas of expertise which mostly interest the Division are sensors, sensor networks, CAD tools for VLSI (including tools for low power), low power electronic circuit and system design, embedded systems (including NoC and SoC).
Other areas of interest (within the scope of the Division) or other ranks will be considered, with primary aim to address the educational and research needs of the Division and the Department in new, upcoming areas with strong scientific interest and emerging job market opportunities.
The Division is interested to attract interested scientists with strong international presence in their area (considering their age as well), academic orientation combined with excellent know-how in state-of-the-art areas, excellent prospects for academic career within the capabilities and limitations of the Greek university system, dedication to education and research, and serious commitment to the Division and the Department, which can only happen with a permanent family residence in Chania.
Citizens of the EU are eligible as long as they have the appropriate Greek language certificates, as all instruction is in Greek.
