Congratulations, Athens!!! Spectacular Games!!!! This is the best games ever!!! I am so very very proud and now that it is over I am so relieved! Although there were a couple of moments that were questionable at best, I think overall we did it! Unfortunately, we will be paying for them for the rest of our lives, if you pay Greek taxes. The most expensive games that did not offer much of a return. And the most bizzar moment where the drunken Irish protester attacked the Brazilian marathon runner right at the end of the marathan really shows that no matter how much money is spent on security, if someone wants to disrupt the games, they can easily do so. I think that the $3 billion spent on security should not have been so extravagant. I think that the Greeks and Athens deserve to be compensated, since it is the Americans who critized the Greeks for not being able to host a secure Olympics. I think that the IOC should also kick some money in, or perhaps the United Nations, because it is unfair to make the host country responsible for such extravagant security measures that are demanded by a single country.
