Profiling is not legal nor is it recognized by any government. It is extremely racist and offensive and anongirl, you have just provided the prime example of why Americans are considered to be offensive to the rest of the world. When you have committed a crime, you have a criminal record. Profiling entails stopping people and incarcerating them when they have no such record at all, but just because they "look" like a criminal, or might be considered someone who could be a bad person just because he has, say, black skin. If you still can't understand the difference of profiling, let me illustrate to you further: A saudi arabian Canadian doctor was a victim of such profiling by a US-Canada customs boarder guard who had absolutely no evidence that this person was remotely tied to any terrorist or criminal group. This doctor didn't so much as have a traffick ticket, yet he was detained, strip-searched, questioned for 72 hours, with no food or water, and then finally released back to Canada after he demanded to speak to Canadian officials and he was repeatedly turned down. You would not have such a high opinion of racial profiling had you been born a person of colour, or if your religion was not considered a "main stream religion", etc. Say, the US decides to racially profile Greeks - what will you say then? I think you need to re-examine your opinions and values before you begin to assume that I am in any way, shape or form in agreement with you. Just to clarify it for you again, I VEHEMENTLY AM IN DISAGREEMENT WITH YOU!
