First of all it's "Old-Timers" that you probably want to say...
And second of all... it's nobody's fault that you do not like modern Greece... but your own. However unfortunately you cannot have it both ways... you're either Greek or American, reason being that Greek culture is so markedly different from your own that there's no point of contact anymore...
