There's a nasty virus around, called BADTRANS.
Badtrans is a worm, i.e., a virus which passes itself from one infected user to another under its own steam, without the first user's knowledge. Like many such worms, Badtrans accomplishes this by infecting the user's email
client, from which vantage point it sends itself out as an attachment piggybacked on a text message to email addresses found in a user's address book
*and* browser history file. If you correspond with the infected user, or if your email address is on a website the user has visited, you're likely to receive a copy of Badtrans.
