Required reading....Patriotism is not only glorifying the good but also aknowledging the injustices. The difference is that because you love your country, you try to rectify and improve those problems, for the betterment of your society and your people.
The anti-vietnam war movements of the late 60's and the early 70's, were in hind sight, probably the most patriotic acts that occured in the short history of the United States. The *PEOPLE* banned together to eliminate a war, in which the American government's policies in Vietnam were clearly misconstreud. This was a true example of power of the people,and a true example of the American spirit. Think about it. *THE PEOPLE* changed the government policies, that was a beautiful thing, and in my opinion true patriotism.
