NOW SOME FACTS ON FREEMASONS, and not myths:
Their true name is FREEMASONS, not just Masons. Freemasons have nothing to do with stone masons, they just stole the word mason from them. Freemasons refer to themselves as SPECULATIVE FREEMASONS, meaning they practise the relegion (CRAFT in their words).
Yes, it is true, they never ask any0one to join them. One has to volunteer, and the Freemasons will investigate that person first, before they allow him to be a member.
Women cannot be Freemasons, but there is a sister Order for women. Taht is the DAUGHTERS OF THE EASTERN STAR. And their symbol is the PENTAGRAM ( Mendes goat).
There are Freemasons throughout the world, but the most are in the USA. They also operate through numerous ethnic subsiduary organizations. One of these is the Greek AHEPA.
The Freemasons adopted their symbols from Jewish and Egyptian sources. For e.g.; their main symbol which everyone recognizes is the compass and the square, arranged as to form and unfinished Hexagram ( as the star of David). Their other symbols; such as the Pentagram, the Unfinished Pyramid, the All Seeing eye of Horus, and others , are mostly from Egyptian Mysticism and other Occultic sources of Europe and the Middle East.
Their relegion is based of the KAABALAHH. A ancient JEWISH manuscript of Mysticism, which was greatly influenced by Pagan beliefs from Egypt and Babylon, while the Jews were staying there. One of its main precepts is the belief in the Sacredness of Geometry. And how geometry reviels to its adepts the secrets of the Universe and of the Godly mind.

NOW SOME HISTORY OF THE FREEMASONS

From the 1st Crusades at about 1091 AD, who went to the Holy Lands and established themselves as rulers. The Crusaders were men that belonged to a special Order of the Vatican. They were Warrior Monks. Men that had taken oaths of loyalty and Celebacy. Most were driven by greed, and the idea that they would find Solomons Gold in the ancient Temple. Most of them were men from the forrests of Northern Europe, ILLETERATES.
Their main bussines while they were established at the Holy Lands,besides ransacking the local Muslim populace was to shepherd the numerous pilgrims from Europe, for a FEE of course. After centuries of conducting the BODYGAURD bussiness, the Muslim Mammalucs overran them and chased them out of the Holy Lands. Then they settled in Cyprus and Rhoads, thusly the Knights of Rhodes, and the Knights of Cyprus.
While they were in the Holy Lands , they gave up the oaths of loyalty to the Vatican and the oath of celebacy. They took on many wives, as they saw their middle eastern neihbhors had. At this time they were GREATLY influenced by the local Jewish and Islamic Mysticism, especially the KAABALAHH and Suffism. They gave up their baptismal faith of Christianity for the more acomadating Kaabalistic Pagan beleifs. Eventually they brought these belifs back to France and England with them as they returned as the Knights Hospilatier, Knights Templar, and The Order of the Teutonic Knights.
When this three Orders came back and lost their bussiness of protecting for a fee the pilgrims the set up the bussiness of now protecting the transfer of large sums of money( then it was mostly in gold). In order to do this, they met regurly in assinged places. They established SECRET Code words and handshakes, inorder to be able to identify each other. This was neccesary in order to transfer someone's money from Paris to London, or anywhere. The way this was done was that one would deposit the money in a Knights Lodge in Paris, then with a paper of proof of deposit and two Knights he would go to London, there he would present to that LOdge the paper of proof and the Knights would give the secret handshakes and he would receive from their vault the amount on the paper MINUS the fee. They would also meet in their lodges to worship their New Pagan Religion unbothered by nosy peasents and the Church. They were not called Freemasons yet.
Around the 1500's these Orders of Pagan Knights with all their accumulated wealth, which they lent to Kings to conduct wars, were influenced by a Secret Society known as the ROSICRUCIENS ( Rosi Cross). This was a Mystical Society founded by Jews and Kathars( Heretical Christians) of southern France and Spain. Thier beleifs were largely based on the Jewish KAABALAHH and the Egyptian Mysteries of Usiris and Horus (God of the Egyptian Underworld).
Around the 1600's these two groups of Pagans, the Knights Templar and the Rosicrucians to become the FREEMASONS. They adopted some symbols of the stone masons. In an aligorical sense the FREEMASONS are supposed to build the Temple of Solomon, a New World Order as it were, to be ruled by them.
