She calls you and you go
it is a frozen road
past midnight, storminess
of snow falls
in the rigid icy paths
the door opens
you smile, you enter
and shake off the cold.

There is a great woman
on her side on the bed
she is sick
hurt and in pain
you showered her radiant
warmth hopes of heavy rain.

Night in a room
darkened by sorrow
through the joyfull
presence of you
its enlighted by tomorrow.

You pick the hair
off her face
and watch the glow
your compassion
brings with grace.

A clasp upon her hand
muted the cold night
she turned
a ray of hope shined
to ease the sight.

Upon the dark, she stood
in the cold world
of spent emotions
she felt among the leaves
full of the dew of hope
of old devotions.

With incredible resilient courage
you shall surpass the dark
the pitiful moments
metamorphosis into lark
