Roubi stranger Reged: Wed Posts: 2 Greek Dancing in the Summer       Wed Mar 05 2003 04:07 AM Edit   Reply   Quote   Quick Reply   Dear All, Each year, many people are travelling to the North of Greece in order to participate into the dancing seminar that Vassilis Dimitropoulos and the Hellenic Centre of Folk Studies (ΕΛ.ΚΕ.ΛΑ.Μ) organize. This seminar is a unique opportunity for you to discover in a dreamlike environment traditional dancing and music from all over Greece. Families, friends, or single people, all come to share the warm atmosphere surrounding the many dance lessons, the group dinners and the outings into the countryside. There is no day ending early at night, as many join the dance teachers and musicians for late dancing and singing. Although the place still remains to be determined, dates are already fixed for the seminar to happen from August 5-16, 2003. There are various accommodation formulas and a special fare for accompanying (non-dancing) people is available.
